01
Listen, never label
A detailed history and structured screening before any conclusions are drawn.
About your practitioner
Clinician, educator and researcher in functional medicine and functional neurology, with 14 years' experience helping people whose fatigue had been dismissed.
Why this clinic exists
Many people with fatigue have been told it's stress, being run down or getting older. Alan's practice is built around taking that fatigue seriously and finding out what is driving it.
He combines cognitive assessment with functional medicine, and works alongside GPs, consultants and psychiatrists. Alongside the Fatigue Clinic, Alan practises osteopathy in Llandudno and Menai Bridge.
Four principles
01
A detailed history and structured screening before any conclusions are drawn.
02
Cognition, sleep, mood, inflammation, hormones and the gut–brain axis are looked at together.
03
Finding and correcting the underlying causes, not just managing symptoms.
04
A single written plan, revised as you improve.
How it works in practice
Fatigue after a virus, for example, may be kept going by poor sleep, blood sugar swings, low iron and a nervous system stuck on high alert. Resting alone doesn't fix that, and pushing through makes it worse.
The Brain Performance Analysis and a detailed history.
Validated screening and targeted lab testing.
A personalised plan, paced to your energy.
Follow-on support and retesting.
This approach works alongside GP and specialist care. Please don't stop or change prescribed medication without speaking to your prescriber.
The Brain Performance Analysis takes about 12 minutes online and scores eight areas, from mental stamina to sleep. Your £12 is refunded in full when you book a Discovery Consultation.
The Discovery Consultation is an unhurried, hour-long conversation about your fatigue, online or in clinic in Llandudno.
